Heads Up! New Feature Coming! – He Said / She Said
Hey everyone! I am interrupting my vacation to make a special announcement!
Starting in the new year there will be a new feature here on Design By Firgs! I am going to be partnering with Erik Bernskiold from Bernskiold Media on the second Tuesday of every month to bring you He Said – She Said. During that time, I will be turning over my site to Erik so that he can share his thoughts on a current industry topic of interest, and I will be doing my version of the same topic on his site that same day.
Before we start this fun new feature however, we thought we would make the first go of it an opportunity to include a little promotion for all of our loyal Twitter followers. For the next two weeks we will be compiling questions from Twitter folks to create an introductory interview and give everyone a chance to ask us any burning question they want to know about us. After we are done collecting questions, we will be picking ten of them to answer and we will link the Twitter name of each author of each question we choose to answer. So if you follow us on Twitter (and you should be following us!) start thinking of some good questions and send them to us in a DM on Twitter! You may just end up on our sites!

I’m Erik, and I live in Gothenburg, Sweden. I’ve been using Photoshop for over four years and been using the Adobe design suite since the release of CS2. I’m currently using Design Premium CS4 as well as Lightroom.
I am founder and owner of two companies. Bernskiold Media is my media company that deals with teaching software, design, photography etc. to individuals and businesses. Most of the material can be found for free online at the website but there are also DVDs and books coming out as well as local classes and workshops.
The second company I run is XLD Studios which is a web design, development and hosting company. It’s growing and have a great success rate. It’s whats taught me most through the years. Outside this, I’m also employed part time at a local camera store as a salesman and in-house graphic designer. Oh, and I should probably mention (only cause Firgs would be yelling at me if not) that I do go to school and I don’t sacrifice education for these interests! Happy now Firgs?
My speciality lies is most things web as that’s what I’ve been doing the longest time. My second speciality is photography and graphic design in general. I really love doing photography, mostly nature although lately I’ve been moving into portraits a lot. Nothing beats being out in the morning or evening shooting a beautiful sunset or sunrise scene. It’s just so calm, peaceful and beautiful.
Let’s see…have I missed anything? I really don’t think so. That’s the most things about me I think and if I did miss anything, it’s probably going to come up during these series, which I’m really looking forward to doing.
