NAPP Membership Giveaway

That’s right, my buddies over at NAPP are letting me give away one full free year of membership! That would mean you would have access to hundreds of tutorials taught by the leading people in the photography and design industry; loads of discounts on software, hardware, prints, travel and even office supplies from top brand names; free portfolio space up to 24 images; a help center available for all of your "how to" needs; a year long subscription to Photoshop User Magazine; free brushes, actions, patters, and styles; all the latest up to date product reviews and news; and a forum filled with some of the nicest and most knowledgeable people you’ll ever meet. Not to mention a pretty sizable discount on PSW tickets – the largest Photoshop conference in the world. (Don’t forget, it’s just a few months away now!)

I’ve been a NAPP member for three years and my membership is paid up till 2011 if that tells you anything. The services and friendship you will find there is invaluable. And I promise you that if you take advantage of all they have to offer, your skills will grow and develop like you wouldn’t believe!

And, I really love that NAPP is so generous in letting me do this. I know a lot of people that have hit some hard times over the last year and we have lost a few really great members do to things beyond their control. They didn’t want to leave, they just had to. So now, I get to give the chance to take some financial stress off of one lucky person and I couldn’t be more excited about that!

So, here is how this is going to work. I have a feeling the comments on this giveaway are going to amount to some pretty large numbers, and having me add a comment to each post would make things beyond a little crazy. So, although I will still use random.org to choose the winner, I will do the numbering after the contest is closed!

And here are the rules:

  • You must add a comment below this specific post and introduce yourself. A big part of NAPP are the people involved, so just say hi and let me know who you are.  That’s all. I won’t make you say anything silly…. this time. But please don’t just comment! Otherwise I won’t know who to include and who to leave out!
  • You may only comment one time. If I see any duplicate ISP numbers I will toss them all – gotta play fair!
  • You must make sure to include a valid email address THAT YOU CHECK as this is how I’ll be contacting the winner.

The contest will be open all weekend and will officially close at 12 midnight CST on Sunday. Once the winner is drawn, I will announce it here and in a separate post and then email the winner to receive the information I need to pass on to the NAPP staff.

And, as always, if you have any questions about the contest or NAPP, please email me under the name datchicfirgs on gmail and I’ll see what I can do to get you the answers you need.

THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED!!!

  2. Shadowcall says:

    Hi everyone!
My name is Ryan and I go by “shadowcall” in the NAPP and online photography circles. I’ve been working in the photo and digital design arena for only a few years now, but with the help of people like Firgs & NAPP I feel like I’ve come a long way in that short time.

Best of luck to all comment-ers!

  5. Kim Robertson says:

Hi, I’m Kim Robertson. I am a recent graduate of a two year commercial photography program at the Nova Scotia Community College. It was a great program, a solid start to my career, but two years of training is only the beginning. I’m looking forward to my new career, and hope to get some work as a photoshop artist for other photographers. I’ve heard nothing but absolute praise for NAPP. I know I will learn a lot here.

  6. Sean Smith says:

Hi, I’m Sean Smith. I have been very heavily into photography since my son was born close to two years ago. I have been using photoshop for around 13 years, but these days are mostly focused on photo editing where my formative years were spent on graphic design. I am a software architect after several years of general software engineering.

HELLO~~ I am an artist that makes a living at my day job using the amazing and lovely photoshop. I have been a NAPP member in the past, but I could really benefit from new updates and would like the opportunity to check it out again. Just now getting back into the work scenario, but also use PS in experimentation and personal work. Could be that I also have something to offer NAPP– who knows, i have been using it since PS (1). Thanks for this and nice to meet you FIRGS! twitter me at CyndyAH.

  8. Dave C. says:

Very cool – I’m fairly new to PS but learning quickly. I been seeing plugs for NAPP on some of the podcasts I watch. Looks promising!

Hi, my name is Christine Kapler and I’m a NAPP member since 2003.
NAPP forums are not regular forums. You post a question and you get an answer right away by people who know their stuff. Great place to learn and make friends.

  10. Brian Arsenault says:

Hi, my name is Brian, and I joined NAPP for the first time a few months back. I’ve been buying the publication for years, but never joined. But I quickly figured out that I was spending the same $$$ but not getting the benefits, so I joined. No turning back now! I enjoy shooting landscapes, sports, and just starting to get into shooting people. Thanks, Firgs!

  11. Brett says:

Hello! I am an amateur photographer who has been using Lightroom for some time. I have recently purchased Photoshop and started using it frequently. I am still at the point where I am following on-line tutorials rather closely and not straying from the instructions. I’d like the membership to help me bring up my Photoshop skills since I know that it is a powerful program.

  12. David says:

    Hi FIRGS!

I could really use a year’s membership to NAPP! I am a sports photograhper who could benefit from the fine folks at NAPP, their tutorials are simply the best. I have read several of Scott Kelby’s books, but still have a long way to go to master Photoshop and Lightroom.

  13. cad says:

Hi! My name is Claudia by I go by cad. I am an avid photographer hobbyist. I actually got into photography by photoshopping. I kept photoshopping so many pictures that I would run out and I had to invest in a digital which then led to a DSLR and glass…and well, all photographers know how that goes.

I love photoshop and although a lot of people prefer SOOC, i prefer SOOCS4.

I’m a huge Scott Kelby, Matt Kloskowski and Dave Cross fan. I also think Julieanne Kost is a genius! LOL

    So yeah, that’s me. :)

  14. Ellen says:

I love photography… editing, not so much. If NAPP can take me from “I didn’t know CS3 or LightRoom2 could do that” to “I can do that, no problem” … NAPP is great.
