One of my all time favorite Photoshop artists is Pat Brennan, better known as MoonMomma on deviantArt.com. The first time I saw one of her works of art, my jaw dropped. I’ll never forget it. It was a take on the fairy tale "The Princess and the Pea" that included a ton of mattresses – some from stock photos, but some scanned from old magazines. I spent over an hour trying to pick it apart in my head to see what mattresses were from the old magazines and what were from stock photos. But I never could figure it out. The production was flawless and the image in it’s entirety was just stunning.

Since then I have become a major MoonMomma fan. Her paintings and manipulations show just what a master of the program she is. But it wasn’t long before I discovered that her daughter was a NAPP member that I was also a fan of. Rebecca Parker is frequently featured as an editor’s choice in the NAPP member portfolios and it’s no secret as to why. Her portfolio is filled with stunning images like the one you see below.

Rebecca has a way of transforming reality to fantasy with each end every shot. Her use of textured backgrounds gives each image a unique and dynamic look that makes the subject jump out at you. And her blending of one image with the next is just as flawless as her mother’s.

These two ladies together make for one powerful combination in the world of Photography and Art. Both of them have been featured in multiple magazines such as Photoshop User, Advanced Photoshop, and Corel Painter just to name a few. And both of them are high on my list of amazing female artists of the 21st century. If you want to learn a thing or two about the digital art world, follow the work of these two women!
