Top 5 Books on My To Do List
So many books, so little time. I just don’t get to read as often as I would like to. Sometimes the day just fills up too fast. But there are five books on my to do list that are really taking a top priotity over all others and none of them are included in the Harry Potter series.
Free: The Future of a Radical Price – by Chris Anderson
This book is stirring up some major controversy right now as it reads like a blog and contains a lot of information written by other authors. But, the concepts in it are what speak to me the most. In this book Chris goes over how today’s Internet driven economy runs on the basis of making a profit from producing free content. He goes over in depth how companies like Google and Twitter exist and thrive on "Free." Cost: $27 – hardcover
The Back of The Napkin – by Dan Roam
In this book Dan goes over how to effectively sell your ideas with pictures and how important visualization can be in marketing. Reguardless of your artistic skill, this book will eliminate all fears of picking up a pen and a napkin the next time you go to a meeting. Cost: $17 – hardcover
Managing Humans - by Michael Lopp
Michael just happens to be one of my favorite writers and is better known as Rands from Rands In Repose. This book is a collection of some of the best essays from his site and is full of wit and wisdom on management in the tech world from both sides of the perspective. How to’s and an insider look into the mind of a geek is what it’s all about. Cost: $17 – paperback
The Hot Shoe Diaries – by Joe McNally
I know I’m not the only one who has this one on their "to do" list. This book has been flying off the shelves ever since it’s release. Go behind the scenes and into the head of one of the best photojouralists in the nation. He is a master of lighting and this book talks all about his tricks of the trade using small flashes. Cost: $27 – paperback
Within The Frame - by David duChemin
David is the owner of the popular website pixelatedimage.com and the photographic world is abuzz with his new book. In this book David talks about passion and how to tap into your visions and make them realities through your camera. He is an expert and it’s no wonder this book is becoming so coveted. Cost: $27 – paperback

I’ve read Within the Frame and love it! Now to just find the money and someone to watch the boys while I go do what my heart desires.
I’m currently reading Within the Frame and I think it’s pretty freaking swell, too! Next on my list is The Hot Shoe Diaries…
In case you didn’t know, Free is being offered “free” on itunes audiobooks. I am interested now to find out more about The Back of the Napkin.
Thanks for the reviews.
