Heads Up! NAPP Interviews – The Details
WOW! Ok, when I first told Nancy of my idea to interview one NAPP Staff member or PSW Person of Interest per week from now until Photoshop World, I was worried that it wouldn’t fly and that I wouldn’t be able to get enough participants. However, since I got this little brainstorm idea on Tuesday and Nancy’s interview was posted yesterday, everything has taken off like a rocket!!! People are buzzing everywhere about this idea and the interview list is growing fast! After just the first day the list contains some phenomenal names and I can’t believe how lucky I am right now. Better yet, I get the feeling that this list is going to grow!
So far the Interview List includes:
-Robert Vanelli: The playful “mascot security guard” that (although he’s not a staff member) can always be found at every PSW.
-Jason Scrivner: aka – “Scriv” – Video Director and Producer for PSUTV, LayersTV, and PSW videos.
-Leslie Montenegro: Marketing Graphic Designer for PhotoshopUser and Layers Magazine as well as the websites.
-Larry Becker: Executive Director for NAPP and anchor of the weekly podcast NAPP News.
-Felix Nelson: Design Director for NAPP and PSW Instructor.
-RC Concepcion: Layers TV Anchor, Writer for Layers Magazine and the Layers Website, also a PSW Instructor.
-Lesa Snider: Author of the CS4 Missing Manual and PSW Instructor.
-Taffy Clifford: Associate Graphic Designer for Layers & PhotoshopUser magazine.
-Matt Kloskowski: PSUTV Anchor, Writer for PhotoshopUser magazine, PSW Instructor.
-Terry White: Writer for PhotoshopUser Magazine and PSW Instructor.
-Kathy Seiler: Scott Kelby’s assistant.
-Scott Kelby: yes, you heard that right. Scott. Kelby.
-Dave Cross: PSUTV Anchor, Writer for PhotoshopUser magazine, PSW Instructor.
(How cool is it that these people are agreeing to do this? I’m so geeked!!)
—end list—
Now, here is the cool best part of all of this. I am taking your questions! Now is your chance to ask things like: What do they do in their jobs? How do they think? What are their tricks of the trade? Who are their favorite designers, artists, or Photographers? Do they prefer Canon or Nikon? What will they be doing at this year’s conference? Do they think that Nancy should really be allowed to own more Sea Monkeys? Does anyone really believe that Scriv’s hair the source of his creative genius?
Important Note! Questions can be both general and person specific! Just please let me know who your question is directed to when you ask. Also, I need questions for Matt, RC, Larry, Felix, & Scriv ASAP due to their busy schedules please!!!
Like with Nancy’s interview, I will be going with ten questions per person and I will give by-line credit to any question that I receive and use. All you have to do is contact me via Twitter, Facebook, the NAPP Forums (if you are a member), or email me using the name datchicfirgs on gmail. I am also collecting questions through the NAPP Fan Page on Facebook and here in the comments. So start asking!!! And get ready because this is going to be fun!

This is for whoever wants to answer this.
Where do the get the idea for the tutorials that they do. Some of them I really have no use for them.
What an awesome lineup!
[...] dear friend, Firgs is doing an interview series on her website (Design by Firgs) with the staff over at NAPP (and Photoshop World instructors and key roles). Each [...]
I think this question is probably for Scott Kelby. In the Digital Photography book series, you talk a lot about getting tack-sharp images out of the camera, yet I always hear you say on Photoshop User that all images need to be sharpened. I’m confused. What is the definition of sharp? Is there a case when an image doesn’t need to be sharpened and how do you know when that is?
Everyone at NAPP seems to be exceptionally creative in his or her own way, but is there any one person everyone goes to for inspiration or solutions,”let’s ask________, he/she will be able to figure this out?”
