Top Ten Re-Tweets of the Week #2

This week I wasn’t around much on Twitter. I was out of town for a while, or I was off working on a project, or I was running around town for appointments. So if I missed something that you think I shouldn’t have, please let me know! :)

But for now here is this week’s…

Top Ten Re-Tweets of the Week!

I have to say, I love TipSquirrel so much it makes me wish for the logo on a t-shirt!  Multiple Views Of An Image is this fantastic video tutorial that will show you how to view your work in two separate windows so that you can work close up on one, and have the zoomed out version update as you work. It’s a really great and useful trick so I highly suggest you check it out.

These posters by Penny Design are so cool! They are loaded with details that are sure to inspire any designer. Also, if you remember the old game cartridges that resembled 8-track tapes with fondness, then this link is sure to make you smile.

This link SnapSort.com is one of the most useful websites for photographers that I have ever seen. You type in any two cameras and it will give you a side by side comparison of the stats, ratings, pros and cons of each camera. It will then tell you which of the two is your winner. Great site and one to bookmark!

The devastating disaster that happened in Haiti is so hard to imagine. These aerial views capture the damage. Please view them and consider donating to the cause to help them recover.

What kind of proper geek would I be if I did not love Legos? Any time someone new comes to visit me I make sure that we hit the Lego store downtown. But these Lego Creations are out of this world! See if you can figure out which one is my favorite.

Ok, first of all – photonewstoday.com is by far one of the best resources for photographers. If you are a photographer of any kind, you need to follow @dhays on Twitter and bookmark this site. Second – the DNG (digital negative) petition is to get camera companies to build cameras that recognize the DNG file format. Scott has some great information on his site about this so check it out!

I <3 Rod Harlan. He probably doesn’t remember, but I got to meet him once at a PSW and he was just a bundle of fun energy. But his Twitter stream always has some pretty useful resources for designers in it. These Five Free Calligraphy Fonts are sure to make the font-a-holic in you start to drool.

Etsy is a marketplace for craft designers and artists of all kinds. This site is loaded with handmade jewelry, clothing, art and more and a lot of the items are one of a kind that can’t be found anywhere else. Right now, you can purchase one of these gems and if you buy from This List, then a portion of the sale will go to the Haiti Relief Fund. And fellas – this is a great place to get Valentine’s gifts for your lovely ladies!

This collection of T-Shirts for Photographers by PetaPixel is a fun list no doubt.  On top of that PetaPixel went the extra mile and linked each picture to the location of where you could buy the t-shirt. That extra mile is what earned this list a re-tweet. And NAPP members are sure to see a familiar design among the bunch. ;)

This link isn’t just about Tweetie. On this link indirelief.com is a huge list of apps and programs available for purchase. And if you buy the app from this website on January 20th, then all proceeds will go to Doctors without Borders and the Red Cross. If you are looking to buy some new apps, then please check this list and buy it on January 20th. Your simple purchase could save a life.
