Top Ten Re-Tweets Of The Week #3
Ok, so the title is growing on me.
Here are this week’s:
Top Ten Re-Tweets Of The Week!

If you’re into cute, creative, and dogs (and I am) the Dog Photo Booth is as Bruce says “AWESOME!” It is a simple and clean portfolio idea that is quite marketable. Sharon Montrose to you I say – Nice Work!
_____

Name Tag Scott and his article about “Remembering Who the Heck You Are” are two things that I hope I never forget. Scott talks about how to keep in touch with the true you when you discover that you are wrapped up in trying to fit into the different molds that the world offers. Beautifully written, and exactly what I needed to hear this week.
_____

Jeff Fisher takes a look at how to personalize logos by combining creative images with text like with, what I feel is his best example, the Logo Motives logo. If your a branding artist and you’re stuck for an idea – this is a great source for logo inspiration.
_____

Corey Barker. I have a feeling that the Knoll brothers would love Corey if they ever met him. Corey has this way of stumbling on to the most amazing tricks with Photoshop just by playing around. His “happy accidents” are “treasured lessons” to me and I know that I’m not the only one. And this one – ROCKS!
_____

I discovered “The Day That…” when a friend of mine announced that he would be working with them as a Photographer. When I checked into the site, I found a very cool concept of day by day sunrises. Pick a day that was special to you and they will show you a beautiful picture of the sunrise that started that day and if you wish, you can have it made into a keepsake. I totally dig it!
_____

I knew that Kuler by Adobe was not the only color tool out there to work with, but what I didn’t know was just how cool some of the rest of them were. Thanks to ProBlogDesign and 25 Color Combination Tools For Designers – now I do!
_____

Sometimes the best lessons we learn are also the hardest. Failure is one of them. I like this point of view from Brandon Cox because I believe he’s right. Sometimes we need to fail in order to become successful.
_____

“Very cool” doesn’t really do this video justice. I can only imagine the hours that it took to put this short animation video together. It takes the simple “Flip Book” animation idea to a whole new level. Really, you have to see it to believe it – and when you do, you’ll want to see it more than once.
_____
In a short and to the point post – Bruce Abernethy gets to the root of dysfunctional learning development that can happen in the corporate world. Once I read it, I remembered that the best times I have teaching is when I am one on one with a student. I love this article and I bookmarked it.
_____

This post from the Doghouse Diaries and tweeted by Shawn King* literally made me laugh out loud. With all the hype surrounding MacWorld (starting today) and the new iTablet – this was right on target. If you don’t find one of these things funny, you are not a true geek. My favorite – number 14.
*For some reason, when I went to link the actual tweet, I got a message that Shawn King has a protected/locked account. However, if you go to his main Twitter page, you will find that it is not. If the situation changes, I will adjust the photo to link to the tweet.

The title sounds great to me too! Really cool idea for a roundup post
Thanks for featuring one of my tweets! See you on Twitter!
